This recipe makes one neat loaf of bread! Good luck!
- 1 ½ sticks (170g) of butter (room temperature)
- 1 ¼ cups sugar (granulated)
- 4 fresh eggs
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Preheat oven to 170 Celsius.
Using a stand mixer or a hand whisk, blend together the butter and sugar into a smooth texture. Add vanilla and eggs in slowly, and mix well. Add the sifted flour and baking powder gradually, and mix it until well combined (no lumps).
Grease a loaf pan. Transfer batter into loaf pan and spread evenly (batter is thick). Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the bread.
Cool the bread, and transfer bread from pan to a wire cooling rack. And enjoy its yum!
Vanilla glaze to moisten the bread.
In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, and ½ tsp. vanilla. Bring just to a simmer and take off the heat.
Brush the syrup over the top of the bread, once or twice (not too much), while the bread is cooling.
When the bread is completely cooled, wrap well and store. Enjoy!
